A Few Thoughts:

• Don't waste your money going to see How Do You Know. I haven't seen a movie that terrible in a long time. So boring.
• Tangled on the other hand was one of the best movies I've ever seen. SO cute. In fact, I'll probably go again tomorrow, even if it's by myself.
• Christmas was amazing. I got to talk to my brother in Romania and I finally got a camera! Touchscreen and everything. It'll be perfect to have when I leave for my mission.. in two months! My whole family was able to come home and it's been so fun hanging out with them.
• My family does the best all-nighters, and my sisters make the best treats. We stayed up until 5am playing board games, that dance game for x-box kinect, watching movies, eating homemade french fries, muddy buddies, and chocolate-mint popcorn. Might have gained back the 15 lbs that I lost, but it was all worth it. :)
• Favorite song as of late. Wedding song worthy, for sure.
• I talked with the Bishop this week and have an interview with the Stake President this Sunday for my Temple Recommend. I'll be going through the Temple for the first time next week. I'm excited. nervous. humbled. and anxious for what awaits me.

I thought of something super awesome this week too-

Advancements in Technology.

[More specifically, skype. It's so mind-boggling to me how our whole family could see and talk with my brother who's thousands of miles away through the computer.. for free! That was the best gift I received on Christmas, was being able to skype with Layne.]

Bad Day.. Good Books.

As awful as this day was, I managed to find something totally awesome.

Finding a good book/series.

I've heard about how great the Hunger Games series were, but it took me until just this week to start reading them. I seriously couldn't put them down. There's going to be a movie based on these books (shocker!) and here's my casting call:

You might recognize him as Sam in Glee. He's the only one I could think of who has blonde swoopy hair.

I could see him acting like a drunkard.

*Most of these come from Entertainment Weekly where they had a poll to see who they would like to see play the characters from the book. I couldn't think of anyone for Gale though. But to be honest, I haven't really pictured Gale. I'm team Peeta all the way. But I've only made it half way through the second book, so my opinion could change...

Everything's Bigger in Texas

I don't know why I have any followers.. I'm so boring! I haven't posted in the longest time, and I've had some incredible things to blog about too.
First things first: I got my mission call! I'm assigned to labor in the Texas Houston South Mission, Spanish speaking! I'm so stoked for three reasons-

1. I really wanted to go somewhere warm, I'm already sick of the snow and it's only Mid-December! Houston is really humid though, but I'll take humid summers while I'm soaking up the rays.. in the winter. :)


2. I really wanted to stay in the states. Although going foreign would be a neat experience, how am I suppose to get packages all the time from my parents?!! Seriously, it wouldn't happen.


3. I didn't want to go foreign so much, but I really wanted to learn Spanish. And since Houston is 1/3 Hispanic, it makes sense that I need to learn Spanish.

But in all seriousness, I know that Houston is exactly where I need to go. I leave March 2nd, and I'm just getting so anxious to leave! I already feel a love for the people and the place, and I've never even been there before! It's the craziest feeling.

I was going to post a video of me opening my mission call, since I don't have any pictures to show for it.. but it's taking forever. I give up on uploading vids.
