Cheesy title.. let's not talk about it.

I've got a few things I'd like to blog about tonight.

-The Office, Season 6 premieres in 7 days! This is going to make life a whole lot easier.

-I absolutely love my new roommates. Especially my roommate that I share a room with. Her name is Emily Kofford, and she's amazing. She's such a good example, always reading her scriptures at night and writing in her journal. I've never been so diligent in reading scriptures until I roomed with her. I feel like if you're rooming with someone who does that, it rubs off onto you. Something like that. Anyway, I know this will be a good year with her. She also has the worlds most beautiful voice. She sings and plays the guitar, writes her own music, and is amazing. The first night I met her she sang and played the Hallelujah song. From that moment I knew I would get along with Emily. I have to beg her to play for me, because she's so good!

-I am starting to get a hang of college. Although, I'm not doing so well in math like I thought I would. My teacher kind of sucks, which is the world's biggest understatement, and he's not very easy to get a hold of after class to help me. So if anyone knows of a tutor, let me know! (Preferably one that is male, and cute, and single). :]]

-I was kind of bugged by my connections class today. Let me explain.. So we had this guest speaker come, and she was joking around with us before her presentation or whatever, and we asked her what she was speaking on, and she said, "Oh just some gay stuff!" We all laughed because we didn't think that she meant that literally. Wrong. She basically talked about the organization she's apart of. GLTBA or something like that. Gays, Lesbians, Transgender, Bisexual, and I forgot what the A meant. I was thinking, okay.. yeah I know we have to learn about diversity and what not, and be aware of these kinds of things.. but she was PROMOTING it! She talked about how wonderful her organization is, and that we need to all go in and hang out there because apparently it's the best place on campus. There motto was, "You don't have to COME OUT to come in." I don't know, I'm not bashing on gays or whatever, that's their decision, but I was super annoyed that homegirl was promoting homosexuality. Seriously, what is the world coming to?

-I went to a bonfire last weekend, and it was super fun! (I almost sounded like a valley girl in that sentence.. eeeeh.) But I went with my roommates and some other friends. Good times. The cops came to make sure we weren't drinking illegally. We weren't, in case you were wondering. They stayed a little while to play Destructive Ninja. The coolest cops I've ever had an encounter with!

-Last weekend, since my budget is little to nothing, my roommate Emily offered to take me to Bounteful with her. That's where she's from. And since I didn't want to be home alone, with everyone gone for Labor Day Weekend, I accepted. What a nice family! They were so welcoming and hospitable.

-Homecoming is coming up! And it's not formal this year.. Weird.. I know. BUT they are doing a 'Dress as your favorite decade' theme! SWEEET! This is like the 80's dance, only better cause you have more options! I'm thinking like the 40's or 30's. Like the Great Depression era. Or the Notebook type of look. Hopefully I can find a 'Noah' who's at good looking as Ryan Gossling! Yeee! aannnndddd it's also True Aggie Night. The only day where you can get away with kissing multiple guys within the same hour! Well.. I guess you could get away with it some other night, if you wanted to be classified as a.. never mind. ;)

-This last update is a little frustrating. But all the guys in my Apt Complex are 17-18!! Seriously I'm like the oldest, and I'm not used to that! The bishop told us that there was ONE room where there were guys that were like 21-23. Just ONE. So I hear the same thing every time I meet some new guys, "I'm 18." Siiigh. Oh well, I have connections with good-looking RM's. No big.

Sorry this is kinda long. I need to start updating everyday! It's an adventure here- all day, every day.

Let the Festivities Begin!

So, now that school has officially started means that there are many activities going on! Week of Welcome has been so much fun, and I thought I was already having the time of my life! Just goes to show how much better college is! Here are some activites I participated in this week..

*Day on the Quad- The quad is just a grassy area on campus, where a lot of the dances are, and a fun place to chill. They had a live band, all these kiosks set up for you to join clubs and what not, it was fun to interact with lots of people. Plus the weather was amazing, so it was nice to hang outside.

*BINGO night- Layne came to visit on his way back from DC, so we went to BINGO along with Kelli. Can I just say that I think college kids get a little more into it than senior citizens at bingo night! haha, it was hilarious to say the least. I wanted to win soo bad, but I never have good luck. Lucky for me though, Kelli won a prize in which I can partake of too! She won a a free catering service from Cafe Sabor for 6 people. They deliver to your apt too! So we're definitely goin to have a party with that one! I'll let you know.. I was so close to winning a cute bike too, kinda glad I didn't though.. Let me explain. So when they had like 2 or 3 winners, you would have to do something terribly embarrassing. EX: 1- 2 people had to sing a song on someones IPOD, nobody could hear the music but them, and you had to belt out the song into the microphone to win the prize.. No thanks! EX: 2- Kelli had to make up a rap on the spot to win her prize.. also, no thanks. Haha I would've never been able to do anything like that, and especially in front of 1,000 people!

*80's dance!! - Ahhh USU's best dance of the year.. or so I'm told. This seriously put the icing on the cake. SOO fun. I missed the Foam dance a couple nights before, so I really wanted to make the most out of this dance. I found a cute shirt at the D.I. that said "I <3 Adam!" I thought this would go along with my 80's theme, it's been a while since I've seen and I LOVE ____ shirt! haha. But seriously, the best dance I've ever been to, and I never ONCE had to move away from nasty boys wanting some one-on-one action.. Logan is so much better now that college has started! College.. So far.

I officially started college today! Last week was just a class for freshman, and sort of like an introduction to college. I basically felt like I was in the 7th grade again, and they had tours around the school.. I wasn't a huge fan of this week long class, but it was an easy TWO credits, and I only have 3 more classes.. So I guess it was worth it.
Anyway, today at 7:30 in the morning, I had English. I love Utah State because they offer a FREE shuttle that takes you up to campus and by your class. I don't know if other universities offer that? They probably do, but I'm a big fan of this service, because I live quite a ways from campus and the walk is all uphill! Plus it was raining hard today, no thanks. So I took the bus to make my first class, and it wasn't really what I had expected.. It's too much like high school- let me explain..

-it's a little class.
-the people in my class are like 18, awesome.
-the teacher looks like she's 12, not really what i pictured a professor looking like
-and it's reallly easy, or at least i feel like it will be.

Then I went on the bus to go home for about an hour, so I could make myself some breakfast. I didn't have time before my first class to do that, so this hour break in between my next class is perfect for going home and making some breakfast. Then I caught the next bus to my next class.

My 2nd class of the day is my Psych lab. Good news!! He said we didn't have to show up to that class anymore during the semester! All of the assignments are posted on the internet, so as long as I email my assignments or submit them online, I don't need to show up to that class anymore. Perfect! More time to eat and get ready! Cause literally, I ROLL out of bed to make it to english.

Now, between my little breaks in between classes I'm just chillin in the Library. The place is incredible, definitely my home for the next semester. I love it here.

Welp! I'm off to my American History class, I feel like this will be a big one because it's in one of the bigger buildings. I will post later about my other two classes today. :)

I also met my actual roommate (the one sharing a bedroom with me) last night, and I feel like we could get along really well, which is good. my other roommate... uhhh not so much. :




UPDATE: So, I went to my American History class, and I feel like I'm going to enjoy it very much. It's a big class 150 students or so, and stadium seating. I like this part of college. More boys to scope out! Aaaaand there were tons of cute ones, might I add. Also, my math class was pretty good. My math teacher is border line good looking. I'm not going to say he's hot, because that's awkward.. but for a professor.. not bad! Minus he gave us homework on the first day of class, what a joke! Overall, college was kind of boring today, but I am loving it at the same time. This is going to be a good semester. I can't wait for the festivities to start! I'll definitely fill you in on that one!

Last Day of Summer.. First Day of College

The summer has now come to an end.. for me at least. I started school this Wednesday. I'm officially a college student!! But I also had another fantastic week, allow me to entertain you..



Monday- Actually I lied. This was not a fantastic day at all. I moved out of my apartment, and am no longer roommates with my girls, Steph and Kelli.. :( I feel like I left my heart there. This new apartment is so empty, and I'm never here. It's just not home! I don't like it, or the bright green carpet! LOL! So I was just packing and throwing a pity party all day. Didn't accomplish much. I didn't even go to FHE that's how bad this day was.



Tuesday- Wayyy fun. I moved into my new place, which I hate, but I already told you that. And I registered for my USU 1010 class and got my FREE Aggie T-Shirt!! Which I'm happily sporting right now. I love that I'm an Aggie. It has a nice ring to it. Then Kelli, Lauren (a cute girl from my ward) and Eric went to Bear Lake one last time for the summer. Eric is good friends with Rob who has a lakehouse down there, so we stayed there and Kelli and Lauren did some jet skiing. I stayed inside and watched Little Rascals with the other guys, it was too cold outside! We had a little BBQ, the burgers took LITERALLY 4 hours to cook, which was kind of annoying. I was so hungry though that I ate my undercooked burger anyway! Good thing I didn't get some kind of food borne illness. We had a bonfire when it was darker and went to get a Famous Raspberry Shake. Delicious is all I've got to say. Minus I was kind of dumb and went for the mint chocolate shake instead of the Raspberry one, and that was the biggest mistake of my life. It tasted like toothpaste! No thanks!



Wednesday- I started school!! It's so weird being a college kid. I feel so lame that I have to carry my map around campus with me. I'm definitely not in High School anymore! I'll give you a more detailed description of what school is like, but I'd rather talk about what fun things I did this week. ;)

Later on Kelli and I and my cute new roommates went floating at the Cutler Dam. Let's just say that this was one one of my favorite nights ever. The dam was sooo cold, but it was amazing. I can't even describe it, really. We had to go late at night, because apparently its illegal to go float down it.. hahaha. But we went with a really good group of guys, which makes everything better. I got knocked out by a big ole' tree branch, but managed to make it out with minor injuries. I'm definitely going at least once a week now, it's THAT fun!

Thursday- Went to school, but I was done just in time to hit up the big SLC! It was Caitlin's birthday today so I wanted to go and see her, and sure enough there was also a FREE Iron and Wine concert there! So Kelli, Alex, Drew, and I went to check it out. I saw Cait too, so it was the perfect situation! Iron and Wine is so amazing live, literally blew me away. Click here to listen to this amazing song of theirs, go ahead, just bask in it's amazingness. I also feel the need to blog about this sketchy incident while at the concert.. So I was talking with Caitlin, and my friends went to get something to eat at one of the vendors close by, so when I went to find them.. I couldn't. I seriously had looked everywhere and there's a million people there. So I just wait by the side and wait for them to find me. Well, in the meantime, here's this guy that comes along. Probably about mid- 40's, probably not married, probably has no kids, probably has no job, just a creeep. He came up to me and said, "Hey, I like your bag! Those designs are pretty neat. XOXO's, that will definitely keep the guys comin!" (I had XOXO all over my bag..) and I said, "Thanks." I was being very short with him because he was sketchy. Then homeboy decides to get a little more into the convo and asks, "What's your name?" "Amy." I said, haha I'm usually a terrible liar, but I was really making it sound convincing tonight. "Where do you live, Amy?" OOOOKAY. Hold up! I said TWO words to him and now he wants to know where I live. I am officially scared now. I said, "I grew up in Sandy." "What High School did you go to?" Ohh crap. I had no idea the names of High Schools in Utah, but I knew there was a ski resort named Brighton, so that was the first thing that came out of my mouth just out of instinct I guess. And he said, "Ohh yeah, where the rich people go..." OK. Guys' a creep, I was freaking out at this point, and didn't know what to say or do, really. Just then Kelli called me so I excused myself, and he put on his shades and was off. I was so paranoid that whole night, I was always looking around making sure I couldn't see him nearby. I felt so relieved when I had met up with the boys, they were for sure my security blanket that night. Oh yeah, and Alex told me that Brighton is a LEGIT high school in Sandy! The Lord surely had my back on that one, he told me exactly what to say. Needless to say, I will never go anywhere alone in SLC, or any big city like that again!

Friday- Went to school, did some service work for the Humane Society, like a homeless shelter for animals. And I got a call from my sister saying that my little nephew was found at the bottom of the swimming pool and was life flighted to Primary Children's Hospital. I started to bawl, because I am really close with Sheldon. He's been my favorite nephew to babysit because he's so full of life and energy, it's really contagious. He's so sweet, and it broke my heart to think that he might not make it. I didn't know what condition he was in, and I think that's what scared me the most. But the weird thing is that yesterday on my way to SLC, I had the strangest feeling all day, and this thought came into my head that my mom was going to call me and tell me that something bad had happened to Sheldon. So I was really apprehensive about it yesterday, and I was in shock when I found out. I got out of class early, and it took me like 10 stops to make it home. I couldn't stop shaking and hyperventilating and I was crying uncontrollably. I seriously couldn't function, I felt like it wasn't safe for me to be driving. That's why I didn't go down to Primary Children's Hospital.. I had to do something else to keep my mind off of it. Kelli is such an awesome girl and came over to my place so I wasn't alone. She kept me company and was that shoulder I needed to cry on. Seriously couldn't ask for better friends. She's the best. And she thought that it would be good to get out tonight, so we went to dinner with our guy friends. It was Danny's B-day, so it was fun to go celebrate with him. Later we went to Alex's house and watched more Youtube videos again and played more Mario Kart. But it was just what I needed. I know that Sheldon's going to be okay. I heard that everything seems to be good, so there shouldn't be brain damage or anything. We definitely witnessed a miracle tonight, and I'm so blessed that the Lord has been with us this whole time.
*On a lighter note, we watched this HILARIOUS Youtube video tonight and I couldn't stop laughing. I'll spread some laughter and cheer and let you guys enjoy it yourself.

Best Week Ever!

This week has been completely amazing. Something to do.. every night! Here's a little recap for all those who were unable to be apart of my totally awesome week.



Monday: Still in IF, I went out to eat with my favorite ladies, Aloo and Sarabell! I missed them, it was nice to catch up. I said my goodbyes, and was off to Logan.. just in time to make FHE. hahaha. While at FHE we were racing cardboard boats, intennnse. We met some fellows, went to Spoon me with a bunch of people. (Spoon me just might be the best frozen yogurt shop I've ever been to! ... If you love me, spoon me!) Goooood times.

Tuesday: I had to work, someone's gotta bring in the money, right?! So after that, I was actually set up on a blind date with a guy named Jared. He was really nice, fresh off the mish, and was from Logan. We went to an amazing chinese restaurant. YUMMMY. When I came home, Zach (the boy next door.. I'll refer to him more in this post), came over so I could give him the whole scoop of my date. Haha he loves hearing about our non-existant relationship stories, or maybe he doesn't? Oh well, he wanted to hear about this one- nonetheless.

Wednesday: PAAARTY! Steph, Kelli, and I decided to head to SLC! One of my previous roommates, Al, was getting married and I wanted to go, so we made a trip out of it! Too bad I didn't realize that the wedding was in Alpine, like 40 minutes away, and I didn't want to make Steph drive all the way out there when she didn't even know her.. So I didn't find a ride to Alpine. But I'll bet the reception was amazing! Anyway, so we hung out at the Gateway. Of course I hit up Forever 21! A pair of jeans for $10? YES PLEASE! Then we drove EVERYWHERE looking for a coffee shop to get an Italian Soda, we were craving one badly. We finally settled for a Starbucks, which took us like an hour to find. haha we could never make it outside of Logan! Then we see the coolest building which happens to be City Hall, perfect place for a Kodak Moment! We took about 100 pictures there. :) Then we met up with Zach and his good bud, John at Zach's parents house. I love going there, his parents are so nice and hospitable. A big thanks going out to Zach and his parents for always letting us crash there! (We've obviously done this more than once!) So while at Zach's house we played Mario Kart on the Wii, and when I say we, I really mean that I just watched them play... haha less humiliation that way. And we watched Enchanted.. cuuute. Went to bed, had to wake up at 6 to make it home by 9 when we had to work the next day!

Thursday: Went over to the Retirement home to watch Evan. I had a really nice chat with this one lady at Lunch. She was telling me that Her and her husband had served a mission in Palmyra and they lived in the house that Joseph Smith grew up in! I thought that was neat. Anyway I was off of work at 7, and I had another date that night! Kelli and I doubled with some guys we'd met at FHE. Well, actually we met the one guy there, the other guy was his roommate who we'd never met. Still fun. This was probably the most creative date I've been on! We went to the grocery store, and the game plan was to make the meal ourselves, and one of their other roommates was the judge to see which meal was the tastiest. But get this! We could only spend $5 per couple for our food! It's so hard! We had to compromise on a lot of things.. But my date and I made some Enchaladas. Instead of ground beef or chicken we had to use ground pork sausage.. haha with processed cheese singles! hahaha it sounds really gross but we pulled through! We won over their pasta dish! YEEEAH! Then we went bowling, and I sucked it up! Then the second game we played goofy. I would have won that game if Kelli wouldn't have cheated!

Friday: I had to work, and couldn't get it off cause my boss is a ....... Natalie's Wedding was this day and I would've loved to go to the ceremony, but couldn't. Cause my boss couldn't find anyone to do it that day, and if she couldn't find anyone that would mean that she would have to do it. And she had SOO much going on that day... yeeeeaaaaahhhhhh rrrriiiiiigggggghhhhhhttttt. She's a joke, I am definitely not a fan of her. Did I ever tell you that it took me over a month to get a paycheck? Is that because she had soooo much going on? Geeeeez. So I was really mad that day, but I was able to make it to the reception, thanks to my wonderful Aunt Karla and Uncle Steven! They were so nice to take me with them, because I didn't want to drive alone where I know I'd get lost in SLC! haha. And after the reception we went out to eat at Texas Roadhouse with Marci and Darren (my other aunt and uncle). That was a lot of fun, Steven basically had two dates that night, lucky him, right?! haha. I really enjoy spending time with family, and I'm glad I can do it more often now that I live in Utah.

Saturday: Actually, this was the most boring day. I had to work.. It was a rainy day, and the drive through the canyon made me really sick. So when I came home I crashed. I could've gone to the rodeo with my roommie Steph, but wasn't feeling it. Lauren, a girl I had met at church, had invited me to go get some ice cream, so I did that. And I went to sleep, what an unproductive day!

Sunday: Ahhhh Sunday. My favorite day of the week! I was still feeling like major crap. But I decided to go to church anyway.. I figure if I go, the Lord would bless me to get feeling better! Haha, partly true. All through sacrament meeting I was holding back the urge to puke. I won't get into details though.. ;) I started feeling better during Relief Society though. Later that night at 5, My aunt Karla had asked Britten to invite me for dinner. So I had a lovely dinner with their family, and we played some Senior Golf! Karla and I won the first game and Logan and Lora won the next. Did I mention that I love spending time with family?! I'm so grateful for my grandparents and aunts and uncles that live here and always include me in everything. They are so good to me! Love you guys! I went to ward prayer at 8. Ahh, did I mention that I love Sunday's? I met a lot of new people there, and we stayed till way after it was over and talked. It was really nice. One of the guys that I had met had my friend Lauren's number, and he called us to come hang out at Alex's house. So we went over and played some Mario Kart, everyone dominated me, no surprise there. Haha, we played Around The Word- ping pong style. Also got dominated. Then we watched some Youtube videos. I probably have never laughed so hard in my life. We watched some pretty good Chubakka impressions! We also watched some Cambodian music vidoes, since Alex served in Thailand he had an appreciation for them. I kinda laughed... is that bad?! It's just funny to see how different cultures do their thing. It was a fantastic Sunday, and an AWESOME week! GAAH, I can't upload pictures on blogger today! LAME. I'll give you a little taste of our SLC trip a little later then!

The Perfect Storm

Sailing is probably the sweetest thing I've done all summer! Kelli knew this guy (Seth) who owns a sail boat, and he takes some friends to go sailing pretty often. So we went to Bear Lake and went sailing with him! Good times. Here are some pictures of our adventure...

Okay, So right after we're all bundled up and it starts to get a little cold, we look at the sky and it appears that a storm is coming up! Seriously it came out of nowhere! The wind picked up, and the sail boat was tipping hardcore! The guys put the sails down, and at this point we're just moving with the help of a motor. Not very fast at all, and the storm is definitely beating us.

I seriously have never thought I was going to die until then. Luckily we did make it home safely, thanks to the guys who didn't choke under pressure. But the boat was rocking, tipping, and I was so scared of that lightning. It was seriously what you see in movies, and hope never happens to you!

* There is a moral to this story though--- Don't go boating on a Sunday! I will NEVER ever ever ever do that again. Needless to say I repented as soon as I got home..

Haha, I feel like being a pessimist today. I recently posted a blog about ten things that make me terribly happy, and now I'd like to focus on ten things that make me terribly angry. It makes it so much better to write everything down..

1. People who aren't reliable
2. When slow people drive in the fast lane, ahhh I swear Utah Drivers never took drivers ed!
3. When I don't get paid for over 3 weeks, and have no money in the bank on top of that.
4. Not being successful at finding decent jobs
5. When I look my absolute best at church in hopes of running into some hot guy, and never do.
6. When people interrupt me or someone I'm talking to
7. Annoying/self absorbed/thinks the world revolves around them kind of people.
8. LIARS
9. When I have to miss FHE/church/or any other church function.
10. Girl drama. soooooo annoying.

Haha, I feel so much better now!

Stephanie's Birthday Bash and Other Happenings

Yesterday was Stephanie's 20th Birthday!! Woooot! I thought it would be fun to throw a surprise BBQ for her, so the roommates and the guys next door helped too. Steph came home from work early, so while we were preparing her food, it was kind of obvious we were doing this for her.. so the surprise was out, and she went shopping with me for other food items at the store, haha. A failed attempt at a surprise party, but still fun. Here are some pictures.

**Stephanie I hope you're reading this, cause this part is alll for you!

-I am so glad I met you! You are seriously like my other half. I've never met anyone that is basically the same person as me. I enjoy our late night chats on the patio, exploring L-town, going on walks, and getting a snow cone like everyday! You are such an inspiration to me, and you're soooo nice. I hope we can remain best friends as the years pass. It sure is going to suck without you as my roommate during the school year.. You are the coolest person ever and everyone loves ya! I hope you had an amazing day, you're the best!

Also... I wanted to mention this.. The night before Stephanie's birthday all of the guys and us decided we wanted to do something extreme. We've heard about Haunted houses and things like that all over Utah, so we thought it would be WAY EXTREME to go to the Haunted Nunnery just up the canyon. Legend has it, that at the nunnery there were little kids who were killed in the pool that's there. or somewhere around there.. Anyway, pretty haunted. Upon arriving at the nunnery, (You have to walk a ways to even get near it. its basically in the middle of nowhere) I started to feel super sick. Like, a feeling I get when I've done something wrong, or something bad has happened.. only times that by like 70. I was seriously going to throw up if I went any further. Maybe it was the Wendy's BACONATOR BURGER that I had a few hours before.. I don't know?? (P.S. I will never eat that heart-attack-in-a-sack again!) But anyway, yeah. So sick. Everyone else was like, come on! We came here, and we're going to see it! It was a good thing Stephanie was on the same page as I was, because she felt like she was going to hurl as well. I was so glad that Steph didn't want to go too, cause there was NO WAY I was going to go back alone, but there was no way I would have gone any further. So Steph and I go back to the car while the others go a little further. When we saw them come back to the car, we asked how it was. They said they didn't even dare go too much further either. We just all felt sick about it. So who knows what would have happened had we gone all the way? I just know that I had a feeling that I needed to stay away from that, and I did. I don't need to know what would have happened. Seriously I've never felt that sick about anything! It was crazy. Weird thing too, Stephanie went to this WAY haunted house where she saw ghosts, and there are pictures of it too, and the organ was playing while she was in the house. But she said when she went inside the house she felt sick, but not to the point of throwing up. She said this was the worst feeling she's ever felt! Ahhhhhhhhh. Anyway, just thought I'd share that with ya.

One last thing.. about the job...

Sad day. Oh well, I hate being annoying anyway. Buckle employees buggg. But they've gotta do what they've gotta do. Kudos to them.

More updates!

I've been pretty busy these past couple of weeks, believe it or not! July 1st- I registered for school.. got that step out of the way! I have been studying super hard for a Math Placement test too. I was hoping to get into Math1010, so I wouldn't have to take the easier one. Math1010 is a pre-requisite for a statistics class I need to take for my major, so if I was in the easier math class I would've had to take that class and math 1010 before I could even start taking classes going toward my major. Well, all that studying payed off- cause I passed! I'm in Math 1010 baby. 4 days a week.. suuuck! So I think I'm at 16 credits for the fall semester. And I have to work at least part-time... Kind of over-whelming, but everyone else seems to do it!

Also, I've applied for a job at the Buckle. Ahhhh.. it's going to definitely take some self-discipline not to spend my paychecks on clothes/shoes! But, I don't even know if I got the job yet. I had a 'mini' interview yesterday, and she said she'd keep in touch within the next 48 hours. Can I just say, it was the weirdest interview I've ever had?! First of all, I went in a little early, so when she was with other people in the meeting room, I was totally okay to sit and wait. I was browsing through some clothes, VERY cute ones - might I add.. And she comes out and says, "Laurel?" So I go up and greet her. We're still chillin in the clothing section, I was thinking she was going to take me back into the meeting room. Nope. She asks me all these questions like, "Why do you think you would be a great asset to our team?" "Why not go back to work at Sizzler?" "What other jobs have you done?" Just short questions like that. I told her that I did want to work full time right now, and keep the job throughout the school year. So, I figured that was a good- employers usually want workers who want hours, right? I was kind of disappointed it was so short. I didn't have anytime to sell myself! But I thought it went really well. Hopefully I get the job, I need hours!

And the final update for the afternoon: Boys. Totally meeting lots of new guys everyday! Infact, during the 4th of July weekend, I woke up at 5 am just to make it in time to go to my ward! Let me tell you-- TOTALLY WORTH IT! My ward is filled with tons of cute RM's. And my roommate, Stephanie, is the Ward Prayer Coordinator, so I knew I'd be chosen to do the thought or prayer. So I did the thought on Sunday night. Met lots of other guys there. They invited us to watch a movie over at their place. Note to the wise: DO NOT SEE THE KNOWING. Sooo lame. But it was a fun night. Monday night Stephanie and I were just hanging out on our "partio" (we have this enormous balcony/patio in the back of our apt. We share it with the guys that live in our complex as well.) Anyway, we've lived here for like 2 months and barely even hang out with those guys next door. But they were outside when we went out. Hung out a little bit. Lit off some fire works. Lots of other guys came, it was great. Bubba who lives next door made some homemade ice cream too! Then we went over to their apt and watched a movie till like 2 am. (Don't worry mom.. nothing happened. haha) And tomorrow is Stephanie's birthday, so we're going to grill up some Hawaiian burgers and party it up! I'll definitely post pictures tomorrow. or the next day. Bubba is also going to hook us up with a big projector screen so we can watch a movie on our partio! So excited! I feel like the only thing I've done all week is watch movies.. But it's been so fun!
